Understanding the Service
What is a Licensed Gunman Service?
A licensed gunman is a trained armed security guard who carries a legally registered firearm. In India, only agencies approved under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act (PSARA), 2005 are allowed to deploy gunmen with weapons licensed under the Arms Act, 1959.
This means not every security agency can legally give you an armed guard. You need a PSARA-approved agency — and SHG Security is one of the very few such agencies in Ranchi and Jharkhand.
Our gunmen are not just armed — they are background-verified, trained in threat assessment, and briefed specifically for your site before deployment. Whether you need a personal bodyguard with a gun, protection for a bank or warehouse, or armed security for a high-profile event, we have the right person for you.
Legal Framework — Know Before You Hire
PSARA Act, 2005 — The agency deploying the gunman must hold a valid PSARA licence issued by the state government. SHG Security is PSARA-approved in Jharkhand.
Arms Act, 1959 — Every gunman must carry a legally registered firearm. We verify this before every deployment.
Police Verification — All our gunmen undergo police verification and criminal background checks before joining SHG Security.
ESIC and PF Compliance — We handle all statutory labour obligations. Zero legal liability for your business.
